Indiana County coroner Jerry Overman has identified the victims of Saturday's fatal house fire in East Wheatfield Township.

Officials say 81-year-old Merle Robinson and 75-year-old Janet Bloom both died from "inhalation of combustible products," otherwise known as smoke inhalation, after being trapped inside the residence early Saturday morning.

Investigators say entry into the home was "not possible" when firefighters arrived on scene.

Officials say after the flames were extinguished, firefighters recovered both Robinson and Bloom's bodies.

The coroner's office has ruled both of their deaths as accidental.

State police are continuing to investigate the cause of the blaze.
